Welcome to Getaway Mouse

After years of joking about starting a Disney Parks Blog, a recent career change has given me the perfect opportunity to write down all the years of Disney knowledge I’ve been holding onto!

If you’re looking for restaurant reviews, Disney recipe dupes, bucket lists, or budget solutions for your next getaway, you’re in the right place! But first things first, let’s introduce ourselves!

My name is Ashley and I am a travel advisor for all things Disney and beyond. I grew up in a military family where we were always on the move and I attribute a lot of my love of travel to living that lifestyle for the first 17 years of my life. I continued a similar lifestyle throughout college, taking every opportunity to travel abroad and learn about culture. Even today, the military has a huge effect on my day to day life. Many of my friends and family including my only sister are active military. Sometimes the only time we get to see each other is on large family vacations which are almost always to a Disney Destination. Creating memorable, affordable, and meaningful vacations for our current service members and veterans is something I’m incredibly passionate about.

Other than Disney Destinations, I have traveled abroad to South Africa, Germany, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and multiple countries throughout South and Central America. If adventure travel and exploring new places is something high on your bucket list, I know I can help create the best trip for you.

Along with my international travel experience, I’ve traveled to different Disney Destinations for the last 15 years. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have traveled to Disney World and Disneyland multiple times since I was 15 years old. In the last 6 years since becoming a mom, my love for Disney has only increased and our number of annual trips only continue to grow. My husband is a chef so over the last few years, Disney Food has become an absolute passion for me. If you’re looking for a Disney vacation that features great and progressive dining, let’s get started!
