Boardwalk Bakery Crumb Cake (Dupe Recipe)
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, softened
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, softened
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Icing
1/2 cup store bought vanilla icing, slightly warmed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Coat a 10- x 15-inch rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, the baking powder, salt, 1/4 cup butter, the milk, egg, and vanilla; mix well.
- Spread on prepared baking sheet.
- In a medium bowl, combine topping ingredients except confectioners' sugar, using a fork or pastry cutter, until coarse crumbs form.
- Evenly sprinkle over batter and bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Let cool then cut into squares. Drizzle with lightly warmed vanilla icing.
